Tópico: Controller help

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

I am just looking to chop and screw music "slowing down and stutter basically" I've been using virtual dj free version and have the hang of it but want to buy a controller. I don't have a lot of money and I've been looking at controllers and found these "Mr. Dj MVDJ-1000BK" "Numark DJ2Go" and "Gemini first mix i/o" I was wondering which one of these would be best for a cheap price or any suggestions to any other controller? And if I need to buy soundcards for any of them? Thanks in advance. Email me [Removed]

If you want to be able to use it with VirtualDJ then you should make sure that any controller that you are considering purchasing comes with VirtualDJ LE or Lite included. VirtualDJ Home FREE doesn't support using MIDI controllers except for 10 minutes at a time as a trial of the full VirtualDJ Pro.

The only controller in your list above that comes with VirtualDJ is the DJ2Go, which comes with VirtualDJ Lite.

A selection of other alternative products can be found on our hardware page, such as the popular Hercules DJ Console series: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/hardware.html

Would I need a sound card for the DJ2GO?

Yes you would. Do not buy the cheapest controller, save your money, and get one that you can use as you get better. It will also make a great backup controller, when you upgrade.

Is the Gemini firstmix i/o a good controller?

It would be OK for as a basic controller for a beginner on a tight budget. However, it lacks a built-in sound card and does not come with VirtualDJ LE included. To use it with VirtualDJ, you would need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

i have a dell vostro 2520 laptop & Gemini firstmix I/o and virtual dj 7 pro.How do I connect the firstmix to use virtual dj
Many thanks

The original Gemini Firstmix is natively supported (Plug and play) in the latest version of VirtualDJ Pro: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/VirtualDJ%20Controllers.html

However, Gemini Firstmix IO is not currently supported. If the firmware is exactly the same, it might work. Otherwise you will have to manually map it yourself (When purchasing a new controller, you should always make sure that it is natively supported by VirtualDJ first.)

Please also register your Pro serial number to your account and then download the latest version from the Download Center.

If you have not purchased VirtualDJ Pro then please support the software and its future development by purchasing it (Especially if you are working DJ and are making money as a result of using it at your gigs.)
