Tópico: adding songs to existing playlist

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Hello all, I have made a playlist and can load it in the playlist with now problems but it also shows up at the same time where my music would show up. Basically what I'm trying to do is keep my playlist loaded in the playlist and add news songs at my conscience to the same playlist thus by increasing it by adding songs to it. No matter what I seem to do I can't keep the playlist open the same time as my music folder on the main to drag and drop new songs. I know I sound redundant but trying to give as much info as possible. Thanks ahead of time

In the playlist 'bit' there is a padlock bottom left hand corner, click it and playlist will stay open. Hope that helps

this is the english forum .........

in config options tab set auto load playlist to smart click ok

left click a playlist it should load into the queue

search for a song to add then add it to the queue

right click the playlist management icon click save

what are news songs at my conscience ?? just curious

thus by increasing my understanding?

i meant to say at my convience

i know there is a padlock in the corner but locking it is not the problem, it's when I load the playlist in the playlist area. It also shows up at the same time in the ( main area ) where you typically display all your songs to play and i can't seem to have the playlist open without it showing up on the main folder also when I'm actually want the playlist open and the ( main area ) to display all my songs so I can continue to grag and drop to whatever playlist I increase

when you select the playlist form the left window pane, you will see ithe list in the middle and right window pane.

You must load/add a song from/to the playlist so it won;'t disappear on you. Then you can re-add that loaded song and other song as you like. Then re-save the list with same name.

The best thing that I do is, first I searh for the song I want to add to an existing playlist and put in the bottom window (sidelist), then load that existing playlist and add that song from the sidelist then re-save playlist.

Hope you got it.

Thank god you said window pane. I was trying to look for the right words to desribe the areas/windows. Anyway yes, you have a left, middle and right window pane. left one is where ur folders and etc are. Middle one is where ur loaded music is typically and the right is where ur playlist loads. I didn't understand part of what your reply was " You must load/add a song from/to the playlist so it won;'t disappear on you. Then you can re-add that loaded song and other song as you like." The rest I understood

here is what I mean (do this test)

1. select the playlist (you notice middle and right pane list the songs)
Now if click on anything in the left pane, the list disappears.

OK

to make it not to disappear, do this

1. select the playlist (again you notice the list blab bla bla)
but this time, add any song from the middle pane to the right pane (so what if it duplictated, you can remove later)
Now click on any from the left pane, WALA your playlist did not disappear.

Now add/remove anything from the playlist you want and re-save. TADA

It will be much easier to add a song to a Playlist if you choose AutoLoad Playlists->disabled from Config-->Options

You both were a great help. thank you

It would be so much easier if there was an option to drag and drop in to playlists. Being a party DJ I like to have playlists of different genres that I can refer back to. Sometimes a song comes to mind that I want to add to a particular playlist which at the moment is a really clunky process.

+1

+1! That would be awesome, although I think virtual folders is a similar feature (but I have not played with it yet)

Question: When you build a playlist - in a Red Virtual Folder... is there a way to "order" it in a specific sequence so you don't have to reorganize it later? In essence I want songs to play in a specific sequence 1,2,3,4 etc. However, when I drop songs in they seem to not be in same order as I added them. - ???

No, you cant specify the order in a Virtual folder, unless you name the files providing numbers in front or add numbers to a different field e.g. the Field1 and sort by that field.
If you need to keep the order, better use Playlists (m3u)
