Tópico: Stuck, looking for a good midi/cd player

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Hello all!

Happy Halloween first of all!

I am currently stuck with trying to find a decent midi/cd tabletop player. I had purchased CDJ 800's a long time ago and used Virtual Vinyl time codes to control them but the weight of two of those, a DJM 800 mixes and flight case (roughly 60/70 lbs) being carried to gigs proved a little too much on me. I ended up buying a Numark Mixdeck (downgrade but it has gotten the job done up until now). I still have my cdj's and DJM 800 but I cannot seem to let go of that mixer. It has been sitting in a box for over a year now and I figured there has to be some way to use it. I am looking currently for midi cd players that are smaller than the cdj 800's and would make my set up with the flight case under 60/70lbs and smaller. I have been looking at the following...

Pioneer CDJ 350's, American Audio Radius 1000/3000, Stanton CMP 80. If the CDJ 400's were still available, I would be sold. The Pioneer CDJ 350s look kind of funny with the jog wheel being kind of bulky but I have not seen them in person, only in videos. If anyone has some of these, please share your experience. Also I noticed that some of them do not have display information when in midi mode (shows bpm, song name, etc)? That is kind of a nice feature because I do not have to look at the computer all them time when lining up songs by BPM. Not a big deal but would be nice.

Thank you all for you comments/feedback in advance!

Why use a CD player at all if you have Virtual DJ? Why not buy one of the many all-in-one mixer/controllers, like a Pioneer DDJ-SX?

My suggestion is the Numark Mixdeck Quad........

I thought you sold that?...

What about buying a vinyl deck (or two if you really want)? I know it's probably not less weight but if you really want to use that mixer then might as well use it for something different then what you are already doing. Just a thought.

As you can see... we all think different on the subject :P Sooo I suggest you goto a store and look around! feel touch smell try! And buy the one you fall in love with!

What about buying a vinyl deck or two lol, the aim is to reduce weight and size!
