is there any reason why you can't search for a track like you can do on the main program as it takes a while searching for tracks, unless i put them into one folder. Shame the browser couldn't have a search box. Any thought.

the iRemote application is not supporting Browser Search. This is something that has been asked several times and may be added in future updates.

Coming up to three years since that app has been updated, can't say I'm holding my breath.
Yeah, yeah I know, I sound like a broken record :)

I'm not familiar with iremote. How does it search differently vs the main program?
Why would you have to put all your files in one folder?
Can't you just use recurse and search the whole drive?

Quite simply it doesn't have a browser or search function.
You can scroll through a predefined list of songs one by one but you can't select from a list or search.
This has been the same since day 1 and I've lost count of how many times this has been asked for. As usual, no commitment that it will be implemented which is pretty poor after all this time and subsequent updates to VDJ.
It's such a shame as it's pretty close to being a perfectly functional and really useful tool.
I paid $9.99 for it and used it twice until discovering any RDP or VNC app can give you full browser access for free.

Had it backwards. Would be a nice feature, didn't realize that it had that limitation. I've been thinking about getting an apple product just for controlling VDJ remotely at weddings. I think I'll hold off till that feature is available though.

That's how I feel, it's such a wasted opportunity. Add both a browser and search function and it would be brilliant. I've had many scenarios where it would have been fantastic. As it stand when I need that functionality I use DJay, a $20 app DJ software who had no problem making a Remote app that had all these abilities.
