Tópico: Two laptops at one wedding??

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

I have a wedding coming up in which I need both of my laptops doing different things in different rooms, but both using some content unlimited songs. Will that be possible without putting my premium membership in jeopardy?? I wouldn't think so because both laptops are registered to me, and being used by me in the same venue. Thoughts?? An official answer from the VDJ team would be great! Thanks.

Technically speaking you can only log in to one computer at a time. Your cached songs will still work if they are currently authorized. As far as I know you can have it on two laptops, but you can't use it at two different venues, or by two people. If you're the only one using it, I don't think that violates the terms. It's yours to use professionally, so long as you're not double profiting from the software at the same time, it seems ok to me. Interesting question anyways.

well don't rush into things i always say .......

how long have these laptops known each other ????

Yeah, if you go online and authorise the cached songs on both laptops before you leave for the gig, they should both work fine offline once you're there. The bigger issue is using the same VDJ on two laptops simultaneously. I think officially you need two licenses.

You say they are doing different things in different rooms, are you the only operator, are they both running at the same time?
May even be possible to do it using 4 or more decks and using one laptop and a zone output on the mixer depending on your mixer and what exactly you are trying to do.
In fact I was doing a similar thing using 2 computers at the same gig one as a back up, one was connected to content unlimited and the other to YouTube for the odd request.
Its great you are honest and bring this up, I doubt VDJ be to concerned as a one off in any case.

Your Premium account should not operate in multi-instances as its a single-user license. This may lead one of your connections not to work properly if more than 1 computers are logged in with the same account/login.

I would suggest to refresh your cached songs to both computers prior starting your gig, and login into the Service from one computer each time. Assuming that a single dj (you) will operate both computers (probably one of them will run with Automix), you will not have any issues if you logout from one computer and login from the other.

Great! that is the exact situation. Thank you for your help.
