Tópico: sample volume level HELP

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Is there a command, etc that can be inserted to keep a sample from playing at 100% volume? I own a pioneer ddj-sx and no matter what samples i use ( including song samples recorded at that very moment) If i play a sample the song plays at 100% volume until i slam the sample volume fader back to zero. Then it plays at a normal level UNTIL the next song is loaded in that deck, and it's back to 100% volume.

Have you not asked about the sample volume on the SX like a hundred times before?

I'm getting deja vu!

Keith

OF COURSE I HAVE. GETTING THE PICTURE YET?

Yeah I remember this guy.

Glen are you routing the samplers sound?? Is it on it's own channel or is it come out the master??

I remember when I had the original Mixdeck if I had the crossfader open the sampler volume would be loud as heck. Maybe it's the way you have your sound routed...........

the sampler is crap... it doesn't auto level, it actually records from the source audio not the output of a deck, there is no way around it in the current version, VDJ8 is said to have independent volume with auto levelling to the master deck and it's own master volume to give you full control. but were still waiting... Traktor is a better option if you want to do sampling until version 8 is released, but the VDJ8 sampler should be much better than traktor as you can set your own grouping and will have access to as many samples as you want.

Yeah I agree, the sampler should be better in 8. I'd still love to know more about it. Right now I'm not liking how it's always attached to the grid. I don't always grid my tracks and some tracks just aren't ever gonna be perfect. I wish I could manually set the bpm for each sample sometimes.

isn't it the same amount of work to grid a track, plus you get the bonus of having a gridded track ;-)

I know, lol!! But for the tracks that can't be I can't even use the aple loops i want to because of the grid. If I could just type in the bpm I want the sample to play at it should be fine.

I don't know maybe I'm missing something.......

yeah it's a pain in the ass using producer loops. but you can still grid them.

Im asking you to please stay out of any and all future threads that i have started or am in conversation with other members. You are toxic and I have emailed Atomix about you're continued "thread bombing"

Toxic .... wow, that's a new one on me!

You haven't obviously read the forum rules, as they state you have to be respectful, refrain from using bad language and all caps in your postings, oh and creating multiple threads about the same topic repeatedly is also against the rules.

Continually posting just because you don't get the answer you want is childish.

And my previous postings in earlier threads were as a forum moderator but you obviously ignored that as well.

Keith

Two things, play nice, please don't start another thread on this subject. Now, have you tried using a program like Adobe Audition to improve the sample volumes?

Im not going to respond to that question snce you wont even read the thread respnses yourself.

Im elevating my request to have you muted/time banned until you learn some manners.

I have little doubt your "deejay" career is limited or has already fizzled out, based on your arrogant postings. PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE.

Sorry, that was a response. So, you responded. I go back to my original two statements, play nice, don't start a new thread. Hopefully, you'll find an answer but, I've noticed, people tend to help a user that is more personable.

Without running a line into your laptop, out from your mixer, VDJ has no way of knowing what volume your recording from.

Im at a gig, I press record from my sampler, I press play on my sampler, I have 100% EAR SHATTERING VOLUME coming from my deck. This is an issue with my ddj-sx. I have another mixer, a vms 4.1, it is not an issue. I was looking for a solution, like a script or maybe a workaround, before I was thread BOMBED by a harassing forum member who has entered several of my previous threads and become toxic and insulting.

Have you ever tried a different unit??? You are the only person who uses an SX that seems to have this problem, well your the only one I've seen post about it. Also how do you have the sampler routed??

And enough with the cheap shots already bro, we get it you don't lime Keith, OK. Ignore what he's saying then its really nothing to cry about.

@burnyabad

I make a comment about you breaking forum rules and that's harassment..... you really need to grow up.

And good luck with your request to ger me banned lol. I'm sure if Atomix check back through previous postings they will find its you who has broken the forum rules several times and not me!
