I bought a 4mx used and just returned it today because the crossfader was broken.
I purchased a Pioneer DDJ-SR today to replace it, I had read it would work with Virtual DJ but I see I need the mapper/drivers for it. I need to purchase VDJ Pro to do this and I don't want to drop $300 not have all the features on my SR not work.
Can I get any reassurance before I pull the trigger?
Thanks,
Zach

you can upgrade at a discount as you have registered the serial for the 4mix it will either be 33% or 50% off.
The DDJ-SR prabably isn't built into VDJ Home as it's only recently been released so you would probably have to wait for VDJ8 before you could test with HOME

I wasn't logged in when I looked at the update price... thanks for the heads up!!
Will the Pro Version work all the features of my SR?
My night is starting to look a little better.

It should be the same mapping as the DDJ-SX just with 2 decks instead of 4. The instructions about what the mapping does can be found here: http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/download/src/16423/Pioneer%20DDJ-SR%20VirtualDJ%20Operation%20Guide.pdf
You might need a pro account to see it though

Even though the DDJ-SR is not a natively supported device (mapper is not included in the latest version as it was supported a bit later), the available mapper is still an official one, so definitely it will work with VirtualDJ Pro Full.
The only issue, is that the PAD PLUS mode of the unit (watch some videos from Pioneer on Youtube to see what this offers) cant be used properly, as its sort of a "locked" to Serato SJ software.
Other than that, no issues have been reported from the 500 users who have downloaded the mapper so far.
