Tópico: Rare Oddity with Vitrual DJ not behaving Ideally

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Okay the title may be miss leading to an extent, but not really.

So before I begin if you are having Poor Audio issues, or deck recognize issues this may or may not help.

Lately I have been having some issues with one of my laptops, but that is more or less my problem due to messing around with various different Installments of windows, upgrading to an SSD drive changing major components out etc.

So I have been doing a lot of re installing of Virtual DJ as I format my hard drive over and over and over again.

Now with all that messing around with the system, I finally had everything exactly where I wanted it and optimized for my needs.

Last night I went and did a gig with a DJ friend. Everything goes well, So i transport everything home, all the gear makes it but then Vdj starts acting bonkers when i set everything back up in my apartment.

It won't correctly recognize my decks, either it decided to clone the two different decks and only seemed to see it as one unit, or the ASIO driver wouldn't work properly, once I got the ASIO sound card to work properly, then VDJ wouldn't actually play the songs, when I hit play the tables started moving but not on the wave form, so nothing. Many reboots later and many reset to factory settings later.. Same problem.

At this point I literately want to just go out and buy a new computer and those sexy new Pioneer controller deck and to say to hell with the Stanton SCS 1 system its time for me to move on anyway.

Then I get the bright idea to completely un install VDJ from the computer, which I did, but saved playlists and other data while doing the un install.

Re install, the problems with VDJ communicating properly with the decks seemed resolved, However, in play back of the songs every now and then i would get that horrid high pitched sound that was in songs if you tried to illegally download them. the "high pictched squack" well I know darn well I have paid a significant amount of money for my music collection over the years and this isn't the case of an Pirate music problem. So I try another song, same problem randomly.

Now I am about at wits end again. So I start messing around with all kinds of settings with many reboots and what not later.

None the less I know Virtual DJ is top notch software and something must have happened between the gig and coming home.

So I decide to un install completely VDJ this time including all the data playlists etc. and start over.

Problem fixed everything working just fine. Now I just have to merge all the skins, mappers, and re populate the data base and BPMs all over again.

I guess my question has anything like this happened to anyone else?
