Tópico: anyone have experience with vms4.1 that can help please

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Hiya, please don't shoot me down if Ive posted in wrong place, this isn't something I'd normally do.

OK just a few issues I'm having with the vms.4.1
its a nice peace of kit but Ive had a couple of problems with it which are
(yes Ive read other posts but not found a solution)
I'm using vdj le with 20 day pro

the sound settings are as follows
inputs none
output external mixer
soundcard asio
and I'm using windows 7

when i plug headphones in to the vms4.1 unit i cant hear anything from the phones (the unit is connected to laptop only) I've tried messing with the settings but can't for the life of me get the sound from the phones (i can connect the headphones to the laptop and i get sound in the phones though)

when i power up the vms4.1 the Vu meter lights flash how they should but when i load and play a track they don't work, is it anything to do with the mapper? how do i map the Vu meter to work? I've tried a few things but sadly got nowhere, i do for some reason think this is to do with the map

I've had other issues that i found answers to but just cant seem to work these two things out, I'd be most grateful for any help or advice in resolving these two issues

thanks in advance

first of all please post a screenshot of your asio panel settings so see if the controller is set to pre or post eq mode. 20 days trial might work but is not supportet anymore as far as i know. if you want to do testings try the actual home free which supports your controller as a pro full 10 minutes everytime starting virtual dj. your controller hast got a build in soundcard, so you have to connect you speakers to the master out´s of the vms. if you do so, the vu meter will work

All your issues are related to incorrect Sound Setup.
the ASIO drivers of the VMS4.1 are installed along with the LE version. So make sure those are installed properly.

If you have a Sound Setup available in the CONFIG of VirtualDJ, then it should be ..
Inputs None
Outputs : External mixer
Sound card : ASIO and next to that you need to choose ADJ ASIO (or similar name)
(or if ASIO is not available, choose the VMS4 icon)

Do not use ASIO4ALL (in case you have installed that driver, uninstall it)

And finally, you need to connect both speakers and Headphones to the VMS4.1.

@djdad
The sound set up is exactly how you said in your post which is in the original post i posted, its the same setup so I'm not sure how it can be wrong
i don't have asio4all installed either

thank you for your help anyway
I'll mess bout with it till i get it to work, a cup of tea is needed first though lol
thanks
