Looks suspiciously like a deck I used to own 20 odd years ago. big heavy thing made by ....... Tech somebody?

LOL

Still just a prototype but who's gonna spend the money other then fanboys?? Kids now an days don't wanna spend the loot when they can buy a controller and just sync away. Plus I can probably buy a set of Techs for what Pioneer is gonna ask for one table and let's not forget there's no midi like the Reloops which have had some great reviews thus far. And yes this isn't the first time Pioneer has made a turntable but naw I'll pass on them.........

I would be willing to bet they are gonna put a soundcard in that thing.

two curious questions:

1)High Torque Direct Drive and feel like a 12oo or Stanton ST 150?
2)Market Price?

can't wait to hear other reviews...

Yep it looks almost the same as old SL1200s. I wonder if the patent expired and was scooped up by Pioneer?

the patent on direct drive turntables expired just before tech's stopped being made. It looks like another superOEM.. but it does have 4 rca's on the back so it's probably got a soundcard in it

Where did you see 4 RCAs?

The image from DJWORX shows just the standard stereo pair.

^^^ Oh disappointing. If that is the case then the Reloop RP8000 is still the best bet out there so far.

Not totally convinced on the Reloop mainly because people tend to stab at buttons, on a live TT not a great idea if you are "enthusiastic" in your motions.

Apparently Pioneer feels vinyl will continue to be a standard picking up where Technics left off.
Pioneer has the strength to support this with ease even if they sell only 100 of them.
This also covers ALL of the bases in the Pro Dj market with what they have produced in the last 5 years to now.

I think the TT from Pioneer will have a built-in sound card at the end.
If it was not meant to have, then the TTs would play live at Messe.
And doesn't make sense to release a TT to just compete Technics and other manufactures. It would make sense though to have one with an SL built-in, especially judging on the very close cooperation that Pioneer and Serato are having lately.

There were rumors for a TT-SL1 even from BPM2013 i think. I recall something i ve read about that.

We ll see :)

True, if you are using actual records that may cause a problem with skipping. With DVS however, that will not be so much of an issue. Also most people that use turntables rarely cue juggle. They'll use the cue point button to get back to the beginning of their scratch, or sampler buttons, some may play out a tune using cue points like DJ Enferno for instance.

From all the reviews I've read the Reloops skipped less then a turntable with a pair of dicers on them and even then they really had to smash on the buttons. The Reloop tables are solid! The Pioneer fanboys boys might eat them up and I say might cause most have already invested so much into the cdj's I don't really see them making the switch back to vinyl.

But this does show that turntable IS NOT DEAD 👊

Greetings, a simple question ... VDJ is on the Musikmesse 2014? Any News?

This is about the Pioneer Turntable showcased at MUSIKMESSE 2014.

I doubt if you'll get a reply on this thread : (

wheres the CD slot???

Ok Huey, the TT apparently is not dead! Lmao! But it still seams like a lot of weight to carry to a gig.

Probably a few more pounds heavier then my 5500's, Ecler mixer, SL3 and all the wires plus a power strip in a coffin....... Eitherway I dont carry the turntables in 1 case anymore so weight isnt an issue either way, lol!!
