What do ya play? Ah hiphop I see from you bio, I hope you're a 2 copies type of hiphop dj, I've just found the run the jewels album I can't wait for the next one, who's big in your playlist right now?

Hairstylist dj's.

yeah im a hairstylist....problem? I spin everything, house , hiphop, raggae and R&b classics...
but im also into turntablism.

DMC style cool, I'm well out the loop on that stuff, It seems hard to find a good source, I can do some basic juggling but I fell out of practice with it due to cost and storage space for my gear. Who's put a album out recently?

How about breakcore? is there a scene for it in NYC?

Nah i think he trying to be funny like something wrong with me being a hairstylist....but i love going to work everyday around more beautiful women you can only dream about.

Cool, If you enjoy your work it's good for the soul,

So turntablism, I like team turntablism especially, C2C, Birdy Nam Nam, dangerous combinations, can you recommend any newer ones who've put an album out? or maybe some good soundcloud names?

Right now its this rap style that big with crowds like 2chainz and the norm...but we have a party series going on we call "Smash the jukebox" where we venture into the underground hiphop and the classic boom bap....

Too right, The Cell was so uplifting, Run the jewels ft q-bert; pew pew pew is pretty rocking, but q doesn't juggle so much and he should (I saw him in the UK He's tiny!)

I am also a Hip Hop DJ. Down here in the Deep South that's what we play. Mixing hip hop is one of the most difficult genres to mix as well. I could mix house, breaks, and literally any other form of music with my eyes closed and one hand.

Ive made that statement but a lot dont agree....

Try some Magic Mike. He's a breaks/hip hop turn table deejay. Doc Rock is great as well. Here in Alabama we drop top 40 and old school hip hop like Dre and Snoop all day long. Ill mix Snoop/Dre Too Short with 2 chainz, Tyga, Chris Brown all night long

Hiphop dj is to my mind the highest form of the art of djing, If anyone asks I'm an aspiring hiphop dj, but I play every thing, except new dupstep/brostep because it all feels generic to me,

I'm listening to Classic Hip Hop Mix from Skaz Digga on Doug E. Fresh "The Show" WBLS 107.5 NYC right now 86-99 were some great years of hiphop after then I got into more triphop sounding stuff

Yeah skaz is an old friend, he stay on the road with Big Daddy Kane...he was the first dj i encountered when i moved to North Carolina. True HipHop dj. And he is nice the skills are crazy.

Dude, chill. Not making fun of you one bit. You said that you were leaving to be with dj's like you... The ONLY thing I could think of is what you do during the day. There is EVERY kind of dj on these forums, which is why it made no sense.

My wife is a hairstylist and I 100% respect what she does... take it easy.

Are either you guys on soundcloud? I have a feeling that I would like some of your likes.

B, you have to think before you type...Hair Stylist Dj you meant what you meant.
I didnt say i was leaving anywhere, my statement means in general talk about djing. There are not to many hiphop djs here...more edm side of things...but I will always be VDJ user. When I listen to some of the VDj Radio shows are playing hiphop but not DJing hiphop < if you understand the statement. Like right now on the hiphop channel on VDJRadio they are playing some form of house music....
