on vdj8 when i hit play on my left deck and try scratching it is still playing forward not allowing me to scratch, it slows down a little but thats all. right side is fine. if i use 7 its all fine so im wondering how do i fix this, ive looked for the options to mess with vinal but dont seem to find it

There is no vinal mode. There is however a vinyl mode - which is switched on by using the large button with the word vinyl on it.
(assuming you're using the default VDJ 8 skin. If you're using another skin, you'll need to specify which skin it is).
