How can i set up my m70 for different setups. 1 will be for timecode and 2 for controller only?

I'd think 2 separate mappings, I think, maybe 2 separate definition files too, without knowing how hybrid and adaptable it is it's tricky to say.
I'm looking at the M70 and it looks pretty good for the money, but I won't be buying one as I've spent the same sort of money on my DIY controller (128 Bytes @ 500Hz a stupid amount of buttons)

cause i thinking about those stanton 1d and sell my vci400...but i think im just gonna be patient and see what surfaces this season.
