Can I make changes to the .xml mapping file of my controller found in VDJ's Mappers folder and have it applied to the software? Editing the .xml file would be so much faster and easier compared to editing each individual button through the software. Suggestions/help regarding this issue?

If you make a change to any of the default mappings, an XML file is created that contains your modified mapping.
You can edit that with your favourite XML editor and it will show in VDJ as a custom mapping.
