when i plug in my pioneer wego controller to virtual dj pro 7 version, the sound is detected but the controller does not work or it does not respond to the application, which means i still have to use my laptop (mac) to control the application rather than the controller itself. note: the sound is detected when i plug in my headphones to the controller itself

VDJ 7 Pro? Where did you get that then? You're registered as a Home user!
Download VDJ 8, buy a controller license for the WeGO and go from there.
