i have just purchased a new laptop and when i am trying to download the vdj app it says my laptop does not support nedix files or something and that i need to download something from the chrome store to be able to download vdj does anyone know what i need to download from the chrome store for to be able to download vdj?

Sounds to me as if you've bought a Chromebook.
That type of computer does not run Microsoft Windows or Apple MacOS.
Therefore, you will not be able to use Virtual DJ as it only supports Windows (PC) or Mac operating systems.
