Hi all, is there a way to set all tracks at 0db automatically? or is that a manual thing I'd have to do?. reason being I've been going through my library over the past year or so and have been weeding out the tracks that are either waaaay to quiet or under 320kps or just plain sound wrong. I know VDJ is ace at doing the whole scan for bpm etc - but as you know it sometimes gets it wrong with the 0db thing (thats my experience of it). I want to primarily try it out on 20 tracks which contain really loud highs and deep bass and a mixture of other tracks which have really quiet parts and booming sub bass, I want to see how they mix together in a live scenario before batch 0db everything in my library.

Informations about the Gain are usually written in the ID3 Tag of your file.
Just use the VDJ Tag Editor.
Select the desired Tracks and open the Tag Editor by right click/ Tag Editor.
As you can see on the sreenshot below there a couple of fields with "multible value"
Just set Gain to 0 and hit "Write Tag"

Is this right? I thought in the tag editor it was just a written number and it actually effects nothing.

I place 'set_gain 0' at the end of my browser button script. Now as tracks are loaded, they are automatically set to 0db. This way I don't have to edit each and every tag.
It will continue to be a problem though if you move your track database to different PC's/laptops (unless you have modified the browser script as above).
