Tópico: Help - Jittery sound

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Hello! I'm Wouter and i'm a Dutch producer guy. I've been making music for a long time and i obviously would like to start actually DJ'ing and mixing my music. So recently i dug out an old controller i got as a present a long time ago when i didn't take producing as seriously and i've started trying VDJ out again.

It's going quite well and i could solve most problems i occurred (the song beat not matching up and how to mix in general which i sorta know by now) but i have one problem which i don't know what to do with, which is jittery audio. Now i've already found out i can fix it by turning the Master Tempo on Advanced in the settings, but this lead to another problem. Whenever i use the crossfade, volume sliders or the treble medium and bass knobs, the audio becomes jittery yet again, but only when the scratch algorithm is set to Enhanced and the Master Tempo on Advanced. If any of the two is on Simple/Fast, the audio doesn't become jittery when using the volume sliders or anything, but it does sound awful throughout the entire time like before.

Meaning that for the right sound quality i should have both the scratch algorithm and the master tempo on retrospectively Enhanced and Advanced, but then what can i do about the sound becoming jittery when i use the volume sliders and everything?

If it matters, my VDJ version is 5. I know, i installed it a long time ago on a different computer i believe, and i haven't used it in years probably.

Nevermind! I think i fixed it.

By doing what?

(it's worthwhile posting details so if anyone else searches for jittery sound, they can see your solution)

I fixed it by turning both Safe Mode and Overclock off at the Sound Card menu, with both Enhanced scratching and Advanced Master tempo on. I'm not necesarily an expert on sound cards though so if this is going to explode my PC whilst mixing feel free to warn me!
