Shiftone!
I have had this problem for a while. While loading a track onto either the right or left table the playback on the other table will mute but continue playing. does this on both sides

Never heard of that before...
Maybe you are using headphones channel as master source and if you load a track to the opposite deck, the option autoheadphone will switch the cue to the loading deck muting your “master“.
So, what are your sound settings right now?
