Tópico: slight dilemma with VDJ7

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

im using VDJ7

i use 2 decks (not into 4 deck mixing)

HOWEVER there is a knob on the 4 deck skin which i need access to, it is the headphone "mix" knob, which mixes the headphone output with the master output.
i do not use it, but for some reason my numark NS7 controller (which does not have this knob) will send a midi message and set the headphone out put to master instead of cue.. and i then need to manually bring it back every time i am djing.

now.. this is fine as long as im in 4 deck mode......except , there is an important feature missing from 4 deck mode, which is present in 2 deck mode. that is the padlock which locks the pitch and enables you to move the pitch on 2 tracks at once. i need this feature.

but the problem is if the headphone mix changes to master in the middle of a show, i cant change it back without switching skins ...this causes a stutter in the music which i cant have...

can anyone help me to find a workaround? thanks

The stutter is caused by the sound assignment being changed between skins.

Easy way to solve this is edit the XML of the 2 deck skin you are using and change the line "nbdecks="4" and then it won't need to create the extra channels when you change skin.

If this is missing, add it in the first line of text per the below example.

<Skin name="TCmania ver 2.2" version="700" width="1920" height="1080" nbdecks="2">

i was thinking more on the line of disabling that mix knob, since i dont use it anyways, but im not sure how to do that

Assign the following action to a keyboard key (or controller button if you want):

headphone_mix 0%

This action will set the mix/cue button to cue.

Additionally, you can put this action into the ONINIT "key" of the keyboard/ controller mapping.
So it will set the cue/mix button to cue after VDJ was started.
