I'm having a hard time using my ddj sx with the vitual dj 8. when everything is turned on, it's states that their is a sound card but once I configure things it says that isn't a sound card to use. I'm pretty sure that my laptop has a sound card, but I do I set all this up to work?

Please ensure you have installed the pioneer drivers. Then restart VirtualDJ

[quote=jedi3000]I'm having a hard time using my ddj sx with the vitual dj 8.
when I try to use virtual dj with my ddj-sx a small box pops up and says new device detected. it also states, this device has a soundcard, do you want to use it? I check the box that says use soundcard, but I get a warning down on the right hand side that states - VirtualDJ - No Sound Card - Pioneer DDJ_SX ASIO - Failed to initialize ASIO driver.
what do I do now too fix this problem ?

Close VirtualDj
Right click on the "Speaker" icon on the windows taskbar and select "Playback Devices"
Make sure that Windows are NOT using DDJ-SX as their default playback device.
If they are, set your laptop's internal soundcard as default.
Start VirtualDj and try again. This time ASIO should not fail.

Your Issue has nothing to do with this subject, please do not hijack someone else's thread, thank you. You are free to start your own thread or search for a thread that deals with your problem.
