I'm a VD8 pro user (PC). When I download a sample, it shows as a .vdj (file) , not a .vdjsample (VDJSAMPLE file). I obviously can't use them.
What am I doing wrong? I've tried searching on the topic and didn't come up with an answer.

I don't know what your doing wrong, but both types of file do play.
I think a .wav also does, and maybe many more file types.

I've just remembered I created a sampler folder called Birthday Songs.
Into it I dragged whole .mp3 songs.
They play!

I figured it out. I didn't realize I had to open that folder in Virtual DJ.
