Hi guys I'm asking this for a friend who has just called me regarding his VDJ Settings. He has been broadcasting (using VDJ broadcast) for sometime using a DDJ-SX as a controller with his mic in channel 4 of the SX and a MacBook Pro.

For some unknown reason he has lost the audio setting's he saved that enabled him to use the mic - he is adamant that nothing has changed on the laptop (updates etc etc)

Does anyone know how he can get his mic working again please?

I have no idea about mac laptops so can't really advise him and what to do.

Many thanks

He can't speak for himself, because if I ask a question, then you have to ask him, and so on.

I never tried to broadcast with the SX myself, so the next is just a suggestion of what I would try:

In the VDJ soundsettings select Mic as Input and activate the Mic on the VDJ Skin in the Master Panel.

Actually in order to broadcast the MIC with SX you need to set a "record" input on your sound configuration, as the MIC is hardware.
Please visit the SX WiKi page here: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/PIONEER%20%20DDJ-SX.html and download VirtualDj Operation Guide from the links on the right. Take a read on page 18 (last page) on how to set up recording/broadcasting.

Appreciate that but I was just trying to help someone out who needed help and is not a forum user.

Thanks Pach & Phantom - I will pass this on to him

I understand the concept of helping out, that's why we are here. You could really help him by telling him about the benefits of the forum. I have 3 other DJs in my club that use Virtual DJ. When they ask me about something that I don't know (which is a lot), I direct them here. I can't feed them forever, they need to learn how to fish.

Fair comment and to be honest I'm not sure why he hasn't registered as he has a pro licence etc - I will prompt him next time we speak
