Tópico: in need of some advice!!!

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

I have recently signed up for vdj8 monthly which is great bit of software as it allows my Gemini first mix pro to work fully with all features of the unit (unlike the in box software)

I was wondering is it possible to hook up my pioneer djm 250 mixer to mix while still using my Gemini first mix pro unit for playing cuein etc

I am looking around for the answer / set up diagram, but with no luck.

hopefully someone will be able to advise me in the direction Im looking for

:)

The djm-250 isn't midi or hid capable in my experience. All it could do is hook to the output of your controller. It will not control anything inside vdj.

Ultimately, what are you trying to do as your options are pretty limited. Your controller includes a sound card, so USB from your laptop to the controller is straight forward. On your controller, you have RCA's out, which you can easily input into the back of the mixer on one of your channels. You can then use the other channel for a different input. (CD Player, Turntable, etc.)

Since your mixer DOES NOT include a sound card or USB port, you can't use that as a controllable MIDI device.

Guys, he didn't say he wants to control VDJ with the mixer....

Yes you can use the mixer with VDJ by setting your audio config to "external mixer" which will allow each deck to output audio separately (not use the on screen VDJ mixer).

You will however need a suitable audio interface to do this. One which has at least two stereo outputs, so that each VDJ deck can be sent (via RCA cables) to an input channel of the DJM.

it would work if my controller had 2 rcas out but it doesn't. thanks for your ideas though

It needn't cost a lot. Traktor Audio 2 for example is under £70 and would be a useful purchase regardless.
