I need a small controller for a gig, a little dive that doesn't have much room. This is the first time I've ever played at a spot that didn't have room for a full setup, lmao!!
Anyways the Denon MC4000 looks perfect for what need. Anybody used one with VDJ?? If so how well did it perform?? How do the jogs feel when scratching? How do the pads feel??
Any info would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!!

I have a mc6000 (4 chan version if you like), and its been great for mobile work, great build quality, nice and compact and it has always worked well with VDJ

Thanks but I asked about the MC4000 not the 6000 which I don't really like because its just to small and feels super cramped.

Love my Denon MC4000 great sound quality

I went from a Numark Ns6 to the 4000 and I am super happy with it. I dont scratch much but all of the other features are solid. I dont find it cramped at all the only thing that does bother me is when i nudge the left platter when mixing sometimes I hit the pitch control but other than that I really like it. Hope this helps.

I would like to know, if it works well with video ??
Tuesday will have a mc 4000 and not how it works with videos.
Could you tell me something about that ???
VDJ change last night 8 to VDJ 7
I happened to some videos froze with mc 3000 and VDJ 8.1
(for example Mark Ronson - Uptown Funk ft. Bruno Mars)
format, supports avi xvid
with VDJ 7 mc 3000 and worked well,
I'm afraid to switch to mc 4000 and not work with VDJ 8.1
thank you
gabriel

Videos is pretty much all I do and so far its been good with the videos.
The only thing I don't like about it, is there's only 4 sample pads. I'll have to go back and make sets of 4 for when I'm using the unit by itself. There's room for at least 4 more pads, lol, and I can't change the echo timing on the microphone.
Other then those I like this unit, simple and to the point.
I will say I'm not used to how the internal gain works and I find myself constantly adjusting them. I've went from -3 down to -6 and my VU meter still seems to hit the red. I'm not even sure if the VU meters are that accurate anyways or maybe I'm old school and depend on them to much.
Either way ill give myself some time to get these things worked out before it ever leaves the house.
And 1 last thing, I need to see if Phantom can make a SliverSleek version for this unit also, which I've asked already because opening the multi fx's doesn't work and I've screwed up the mapping a few times already trying to change things around already.

Latency is set to "automatic" and I on a Mac, not sure if that makes a difference.

I could be wrong but see this:"39. ECHO. Use this button to enable/disable the Echo Effect on both Microphone Inputs. The amount of the applied Echo Effect is controlled from the front panel of the unit. "
For gain I use auto+remember and hope you get the multi fx to work "Hold SHIFT down and then press the TAP (32)"
Mensajes Sun 06 Mar 16 @ 4:03 pm
Hey Thanks ohShit, what I mean by "timing of the echo" is change wether its 1:1 or 1:16 or 1/2 beat. Kinda how you can change the echo within VDJ.
Yeah I've switched to auto+remember and things sound better. Used to using an external mixer, lmao!!
As for the multi FX, I think Phantoms code is different then most so holding the shift plus tap doesn't really change it on the screen. It changes on the controller just not on the screen. Sometimes I need to see a parameter so I switch between single and multi FX.
But yeah I'm digging this little guy.
Anybody got any info on a backpack for this thing??

Do you have a skin for this controller? I hope someone make one with large numbered Cue points like Fruit's skin.
