I just downloaded VDJ Pro Infinity 8 and am trying to use my Denon HD2500 controller and an external mixer. I would love to have each channel of the HD2500 control a deck in VDJ and play through separate channels in my mixer. No luck so far.
Here is my set-up: VDJ on my laptop with Windows 10, usb connected to the Denon HD2500. Each output channel of the HD2500 (rca) routed to a separate input channel on my external mixer. External mixer out to speakers.
Here is what I am trying to accomplish: Left deck of HD2500 control deck A of VDJ and play out through channel 2 of my external mixer. Right deck of HD2500 control deck B of VDJ and play out through channel 3 of my external mixer. Somehow I need to be able to pre-listen to the next track through headphones. I don't care if it is through the laptop or external mixer, I just need to be able to pre-listen to the next track without it playing through the master.
I have downloaded and installed the latest firmware on the HD2500. I have tried every audio output setting in VDJ with no luck of accomplishing this. The best I can get so far is that Decks A and B of VDJ are controlled by Left and Right decks of the HD2500, but they both play out through channel 2 of my external mixer and I have no ability to pre-listen (cue) the next track.
I have been DJing for a long time, but am rather new to MIDI control set-ups. I have been using my HD2500 since it came out and I love it, but am afraid it might be too outdated to accomplish what I want.
Any help/suggestions is greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks,
Christian

Are there ASIO drivers available for the HD2500 ? Have u installed them ?
In VDJ Settings-->AUDIO tab you need to create an External mixer audio configuration, something like..
deck 1 ... Denon ASIO.. Chans 1,2
deck 2 ... Denon ASIO...Chans 3,4
If no ASIO drivers are available use the WASAPI but make sure its not the default selected sound card from Windows and set to 4 speakers (quadrophonic too) ... http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Pre-listening%20with%20headphones%20with%20Sound%20cards%20without%20ASIO%20drivers.html

I downloaded the Denon ASIO driver and installed it on my laptop. Do I need to install it on the HD2500 itself?

Can you post a screenshot of the VDJ AUDIO settings tab ?

I think so. Not quite sure, I'm at work and don't have that laptop with me. I will check into it when I get home and get back with you.

Yes, it is ASIO 2.2.2. It is installed on my laptop. I am using Windows 10.

Hi, I have the exact same problem. I'm curious if this ever got resolved?
I use a MacBook Pro but also use VDJ Pro. Same problem, when using the HD2500 as a Midi controller both the left and right deck audio leave through output 1 even if I have output 2 set up separately and lined in to the external mixer.
I'm using a Denon DN-X900 as my separate mixer which I know is supposed to pair really well with the HD2500 but so far I haven't had any luck.
If I don't use the HD2500 as a midi controller and just play from the hard drive it goes out through two separate channels and I can have separate line-ins, but when I begin using it as a midi it condenses all the sound to one output.
Did the ASIO driver above help? Do I need to get a separate soundcard? Is what I'm hoping to do even possible?
Cheers,
Ben

How can you have the exact same problem, if you are using a MacBook Pro? I'm not sure but I did not know ASIO was used on Macs
