On my Pioneer SX2, I would like to script to a sample pad: Mute while pressed.

Mute what? The master output? The sampler?
 
Mute the song that's playing. Like using the effect AutoCut, but I want to trigger the cuts myself. I don't use the Sample Pads for samples. I map them to effects.
 
If it's simpler to map than yes, mute the master output.
 
I got it. It doesn't sound smooth at all. Thank you.
 
I mapped it to Audio Cut8 with length 1/2 and it sounds great.
 
Have a try with the slip brake8 effect, playing with longer pause lengths, and tapping on and off in durations shorter than the pause length,
Might give the desired result,

 deck x mute while_pressed
