Hey mappers. We are here to help each other, right? When I press a key for a sample I would like the master volume to cut out until the sample is finished playing without holding down the key. Any help would be very much appreciated ..

I think it is not possible with shortcut.
You could add it to a skin.

something like:
sampler_play ? deck 1 volume 0% & deck 2 volume 0%
The master_volume will also mute the volume of the sampler, so you will need to use the deck volume.
 
Still new to mapping. How do i had it to the skin?

Wat skin do you use?
If it's a special one, you can mail it to me or else you tell me what skin you use and I can download it.

Put the script on a custom-buttom. Why edit a Skin for this ?

Custom button doesn't work..The skin i use is controller by dennyo 2 deck top wave blue & yellow...If you can, I would also love the folder icons to have a different color, like green. when you kill the bass by way of a custom button, under the bass key barely changes color.hard to see. need a brighter color like red.. Any help i would very much appreciate it..Thank you..Tropikvibez@gmail.com

You don't annoy me... I think it's not possible with a shortcut and think about other options.

The Folder Icons you mean the yellow ones. Do you need a collor or just standard?

I tried the skin and created a shortcut on the custom button for eq_kill_high and it's blue on mouse-over en more blue when on.
You want it to be red when on?

That all can be done and I will work on the other things to.

you need to map All the Sample buttons on your controller (or keyboard) as ..
sampler_pad X & deck left volume 0% while_pressed & deck right volume 0% while_pressed (where X is the sampler slot number)
Try it on a custom button

If you to trigger the Samples from the Sideview (Sampler view), then there is no way to achieve this.
If you want to modify existing sample buttons on a custom skin, then you need to edit the skin.
 
Thanks D but i've already achieve that. I don't want while_pressed function. More like a gate or a duck function. When the sample is playing i want the main audio to cut out and come back after the sample has finished without me holding down the key. Maybe it's not possible.
