This kinda has me speechless as I grew up on him. I remember my mom cleaning house jammin out to his records. Still have most of them.
I remember when I first turned 21 his club up in Minneapolis was one of the first clubs I went to. All my friends were bitching because at that time the hiway was only 55 mph so the drive there was like 7 hours, lmao!!
Never saw or meet him live but always enjoyed his music and his story. I could relate to him and his dad, probably still have issues with that myself but that's another story, lmao!!
I'll miss him that's for sure.

Odd,just found out as I came back from a doctor appointment and felt wierd about things (had to get up early for one)....then got home and turned up the tv...in 91' I met princes backup guitarist "miko" as he left "prince land" and came back home,moving into my Warehouse loft space for a while.he gave me a synthesizer (Sequental circuit's six-trax) and showed me a video of prince performing in france with Sheila E,tamara (of "tamara and the sheen") on keyboards and miko on guitar.that video is now lost.has not come up on you tubes.miko now lives in spain.this is too bad......
