I'm using VDJ8 and have my samples mapped to various pads on my Numark NV controller. Is it possible for me to attach a midi keyboard and assign each of the keys to different samples?

Yes it is. A few guys around here use an Akia APC MINI for exactly what your trying to do, hell you can use your keyboard if you want.

I have an ALESIS Q49. Will this work and will I be able to assign the sound from the samples to a separate channel on my mixer?

Thanks for your help. I have now managed to set up my keyboard to play my samples. It was a doddle to do and works great.
