My program has just been updated to 8.2.
When prompted, I clicked Yes to use the new version.. but all it says is "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item"
I have even re-downloaded it from this site but keep getting the same response, making the program & paid for licence unusable (Ion DJ Live controller).
Any suggestions?

Try to clean the Registries of any VirtualDJ trace and re-install.
Try to disable UAC (Google it).
Try to right-click on the VDJ icon and run as admin.
Something is wrong with your user account privileges.
