Tema: CELEBRATING 10 YEARS WITH VDJ

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

I don't post much here only when I need help. In my most recent postings, I've come to realize I've been a member with VDJ for 10 years. Happy Anniversary to anyone celebrating 10 years with me too. Free beer on me :)

another couple of years for me before i celebrate my 1 decade anniversary. i was quite shocked the other day when i realised id been here 8 years.

i can still remember when i first joined. firstly i was using a cracked copy of vdj, a horrible windows xp laptop that i then upgraded to a terrible vista setup that ran about as fast as a squashed snail. i was using keyboard and mouse at the time.

i never expected to really go anywhere with the hobby or the continued use of vdj but it grew on me and i went out and bought a hercules mp3 and joined the forum to ask about licence transfers which i found out werent allowed.

so id spent £50 on a beat up controller and i still had no licence. i then saved up and bought me a brand new shiney mp3e2 with vdj limited edition licence, then an acer licence from a laptop, then i got a numark mixtrack pro licence and finally my infinity.

so here i am today 8 years later, i built up a large amount of equipment then went in a different direction in life so sold everything and now need to start over.

with a bit of time i might be celebrating my 10 year with a shiney new high end controller and sound system. but wee will see.

congrats on your decade.

Congrats, 14 years for me. I think I was using the 1st version and Atomix was still out as another DJ software this company was also selling

Hmmm, now you mention it I've just realized that it's also my 10th anniversary using VDJ.

Used, paid for, and still own;
1998-2002 Virtual TurnTables
2002-2006 PCDJ products, I had the original Numark DMC-01 & PCDJ Blue as a package followed by Red and then FX VRM.
2006-2007 Traktor DJ Studio 3
2007-2007 (brief disastrous spell with PCDJ VJ.... and paid for it, grrrrr, total waste of money. Buggiest piece of software I've ever encountered)

then finally 2007 to present, VirtualDJ, think it was probably version 5 where I came in, not sure.

That's a testament to any piece of software to be still using it after 10 years, can't imagine ever changing. :-)
