... doesn't seem to work for me (8.2 build 4204)
Selected all (ctrl+a) songs in a Virtual Folder, right click > File Operations > Copy to...
Destination is a folder on my drive but nothing happens. No tracks are being copied.
Known bug ?

All tough when songs are in a 'playlist', it works.
(select the playlist, right click > export to...)
 
I've brought this issue up before, several times, but the "bug" is still there...

If any of the tracks in your folder have a red X (i.e. the database can't find them) then the copy will fail. No warning message, no clue as to what the cause is - it just won't work. Ideally it would ignore the missing files and copy the rest.
 
thx groovindj, that was indeed the cause. 2 files in the folder had red cross.
Removed the red-cross-files and 'copy to...' worked.
 
I have no idea why, but it will not work under ANY circumstances for me. And I followed all the steps. Won't move. Won't copy. Won't export from playlist. No red X's. ???
 
Solved my own problem: the system can only copy so much at a time. You may need to divide your copy sessions up into several sessions of about 100 items per copy.
 
I’m trying to copy 600K songs to new HD but it closes out each time. 100 at a time o no….
