effect_string visuals 3 eq
effect_string visuals 3 "black and white"
effect_string visuals 1 +1
Can confirm everything works as it did back then under the "shader" alias, and also works under the new plugin name "visuals".
both for set and get_
effect_string "shader" 3 "specific folder with Shaders"
won't change shader it just changes where it is looking for the next one when a change is requested.
so to change list and shader at the same time
effect_string visuals 3 eq & effect_string visuals 1 +1
effect_string visuals 3 "black and white"
effect_string visuals 1 +1

Thanks Loco! :-) For some reasons it does not work for me with the 'Visuals' in the Overlays activated..
I've now managed to make it work with. deck master effect_string "shader" 3 "specific folder with Shaders". And yes, I had to wait for the autochange trigger.. then it selects in the folder: 'Specific folder with Shaders' :-)
But maybe above works with the 'Visuals' in the "Source for audio-only tracks" Category?

oh no, it's all about the slot
the AOV slot doesn't accept a addon name for _slider, _button, _string
since there's only the one AOV slot
audioOnlyVisualisation
therefore
effect_string audioOnlyVisualisation 3 eq
effect_string audioOnlyVisualisation 3 "black and white"
effect_string audioOnlyVisualisation 1 +1

Hi, I have used the countdown verb for NYE etc but you have to give it a specific date to countdown to.
I have been asked to DJ an competition event where contestants have 10 minutes to entertain, when the time is up they have to stop and they want the timer so everyone can see on the screens.
I can download a 10m countdown video from YouTube and put it in the sampler, but I wondered if there was a way to use the countdown script to start a 10m countdown when pressed, that goes to the master text effect, and stops (or continues into negative) when the time is up, as more elegant way of incorporating it.
Unfortunately this is beyond what I can do with VDJ script but since it is such a powerful tool I would be surprised if it can't be achieved.
Any help appreciated, thanks
