still having issues with screen grab. persistant windows staying on screen, not being able to turn it off when activated from master video effects tab was annoying.
ended up having to mouse over upper right corner of zone window to turn it off

and now after turning it on and off I just got a really messed up screen that went from full screen negative image from everything under the grab zone to a negative image of the screen grab docked menu and everything inside the grab zone as a negative image

To make the grab window disapear, you can either close it using the windows "close" button (as you already found out), if you want to close it temporarily, or you can click on the "show source" button in the effect config (that you already opened), if you want to close it permanently (click on the "show source" again if you want to reenable it later).

By default, screenGrab has "Auto-White" enabled, which will automatically get a negative of the image if "transparent" is on, and the background color is mostly white.
The reason for this feature, is to be able to grab the output of a chat window (tweeter, whatsapp, etc), and have just the text showing in white over transparent (instead of black over white as was in the original window).
If you do not intend to use it on text windows, you just need to disable the "auto-white" option.
