Having created a playlist I dropped it in automix to see how long the playlist was. I then highlighted the list, right clicked and pressed delete. Didn't think nothing more until the following day when I looked and was horrified to find that the songs were no longer on my HDD but in the trash can. The only way I could recover them was to copy them and create a new folder to relocate missing files. There was no option on my Mac to undo what I had done. If nothing more just for people to be aware of or is there something else I could have done in VJ? I'm using I think it's 8.2
Thanks in advance

The right click option is remove.
File operations > Delete deletes the files however there is also a confirmation box (on windows anyway)

Just tested it, I do not get a confirmation box. On windows 10, VDJ 2018 latest public build. And there really should be one. Easy enough to recover from the recycle bin, but too easy to accidentally delete a track in my opinion. There shouldnt even be the option to delete from the automix window

Andy I agree with there shouldn't be a delete option

Or a tool tip to remind us that this action will delete file forever, do you want to continue?

That's windows 10 standard behavior.
If you want a confirmation, right click the recycle bin and turn on confirmations in properties.
