Hey team - Im set for the early updates. Never had an issue until just a few minutes ago. I said yes to the update, but it never happened. Usually VDJ restarts and I'm good to go. I closed it manually and the same notification cam up asking if I wanted to update. I'm online as I am using the same laptop to post this. Thoughts?

I don't know if it's the same for you but ... I got VDJ stuck on "Downloading" just right of search bar many times this evening, with no "not responding' dialogbox
Once disconnected from the internet all was fine
Maybe slow/overloaded network VDJ side related

I've seen that happen a few times. My guess is that it's because the operating system is locking it in a way so it can't update itself
The fix for me has always been to close vdj, go to the homepage and manually download the latest version, and simply install it on top of the currently installed version

I think your right - The way windows updates now is so frustrating - I used to have updates turned off - that doesn't work now.

You should check to see if you have more than one VDJ exe running. Sometimes Task Manager can be full of the little blighters.
I just checked my PC because I was writing this, and found two copies of VDJ running, using c70Mb of RAM each.
I don't know how long they've been there, but there's no sign of them on my destop or taskbar (they don't show up as running usable s/w).

I have experienced this a couple of times. After rebooting my machine the update worked normally.

Thanks for those tips...Task Mngr was clear with just one instance running. Rebooted the machine - no luck with that either. This just started. I really think it has something to do with Windows update...unfortunately.

Which version of VDJ are you running - 32 bit or 64 bit? I assume your Windows is 10 and 64 bit.

One must of been a 32 bit and the other a 64 bit??
When this happens to VDJ won’t even open if there’s one stuck in the Task Manager....

One did say 32 next to it. The other didn't say either way.
