Although it was common knowledge even before the SC5000 units shipped, that there was wifi circuitry inside, Denon have now formally announced that fact.
The SC5000, SC5000M and the new Prime 4 all have onboard wifi and will be able to stream music directly from various providers (no computer required).

The writing is on the wall for streaming music as one of many sources of music for the dj.
There will be a race by the controller manufacturers and software developers to build in more online sources and better uses.
This is analogous to the many apps that come with smart TVs.
I wouldn't be surprised if an app-based controller is on the horizon. Maybe there are some already? EDIT: This controller looks to be app based possibly.

Well I think this system might also support a thumb drive for when the wi-fi is down? I didn't check the specs but it seems likely.
