Is the PRIME 4 compatible with Virtual DJ?
The PRIME 4 will be supported for use with Virtual DJ after launch. Look out for a future Virtual DJ update to include support for the PRIME 4.

I bought a controller, which should be compatible with vdj. Now I'm standing here and I'm told the displays / jog wheels don't work. This has nothing to do with standalone. Sure, it's a standalone controller. But in terms of design and style, I wanted to use it with VDJ.
According to Denon, this is 100% compatible with VDJ.

You paid money for a standalone "DJ system" designed for use without a computer.
The use as a controller is a secondary feature, and there are much cheaper options if you just want to control VDJ.

I've been testing this for a while now and the displays and jog wheels do work under the testing version. Sit tight, it's coming.

What would be interesting is, how many more units for Denon will be sold when VDJ is fully operational with the Prime gear.
Think the Prime 4 will sell well for the mobile market and home DJ's.
IMHO

Quite possibly. Im dreading taking on the road.
Some folk do have the Prime sc5000 for home use as do folk with top end pioneer gear, so yeah, why not?

Has the screen skin been released???
Mensajes Sun 03 May 20 @ 6:12 pm
Would I be correct in saying it has been released whereby VDJ will appear on the screen of the Prime 4?
Also, would I be correct in saying that if you have downloaded the custom mapping you only have to install the screen interface?
Time to dig out the Prime 4 from the loft! YAY

We have uploaded mapping files for the Denon DJ - Prime 4
You can install from within VirtualDJ Settings-->EXTENSIONS tab->Other->Custom mappers
Requires a Pro License.
Mapping files do not include the Main Display and the AlbumArt of jogwheels, as they are part of the Denon SDK , which is still not operational

Well, its an answer in a way. 😁
So, what does this "screen skin" actually do?
Does it just display the waveforms and track into but not able to use the screen as a touch screen?
Mensajes Mon 04 May 20 @ 7:20 am
The screens of Prime 4, Prime 2, SC5000, SC6000, SC5000M and SC6000M will work as touchscreen and can be customized (skinned). What you see in the Addons is the skin that will be automatically downloaded and installed when you connect any of these devices.
We uploaded these skins before release for testing purposes. You can't download them (and you can't use/edit them), until the official release.
As for the official support of all Prime and SC devices, it's getting closer. Just some last-minute tweaks and tests from both sides.
