Math engine wont change to CPU. 2nd time this is happening. Had to reinstall virtual DJ to get it to change 1st time. but lost all my personalized settings

Odd, 6th gen Intel should be plenty for CPU with the mathengine.
Sure its not GPU you tried?
Also make sure you have the very latest updates, since there been quite a few fixes since day one

the issue i had is... forcing option to GPU when GPU can't be used (i5 Gen4 + AMD) goes in a recusive box opening to say GPU is not compatible
had to kill vdj, manually reset to GPU in settings.xml to make VDJ work again
IMO when bad config is detected VDJ should go automatically to back to 'disabled' or 'auto'

Yes just happened to me also,I have a mac bookpro 2017 delete the old version get the new one 2021 but says that Math Engine error, I dont know how to fix it.😔

What MAC OS version are you using ?
You need at least 10.14 (Mojave) for stems separation.
