The VU Meter on the Roland 505 Controller I supposed to function as follows (from hardware manual) :
Presently ONLY the outer pre-fader of the right and left deck are working. The center 2 bars, for Master Output are dark.
It was working as correctly previously. It also works correctly now with Serato software (testing that controller is functioning correctly)
What option or setting could be creating the center 2 VU bars to be dark?
(The Master Output does show correctly at the top of the VDJ Software)

maybe wrong deck issue
VU_METER key is currently map to "get_level"
maybe you want it to "deck master get_vu_meter" (post fader)
or "deck master get_level" (pre fader)

No, it's not a mapping issue. The MASTER VU meters are hardware IIRC, so they will show activity only if you use the default Audio setup, routing sound to the sound-card of Roland.
