Hello,

I'm looking for some help here. When I click 'edit this skin' inside VDJ I then open it in my xml editor and chaneg the text Facebok / Twitter / Youtube to my own Information and then save it. When I then open up VDJ the skin hasn't changed even though I have edited it. I have checked several times in my xml file and its edited ok in there. I have noticed that the skin I have edited has the (edit) extension now in VDJ but still wont show? Is there something i'm missing? please help?

You probably didnt change to the edit folder.
Usually that shows as : Skinname (Edit), inside the software at the skin list.

That being said, you dont have to edit anything to put the Facebook name etc in the skin (guessing you mean the videoskin Broadcaster GFX)
You only have to use custom button in the skin, and set a short little action to set the name to use...

Ok so I can’t get my Twitter or IG handle to show??

It keeps showing the previously played track!?!

What have you got in the script? It should be: set '@$instagram' `get_text "YourInstagramName"`

Maybe the XML code of the videoskin is wrong then?
 
Hopefully Rune can fix it because I’ll definitely use this!!
 
So you didn't make an edit / custom version of the skin (going by what you were saying earlier in the thread)?

You must have edited the skin, or something.
Try redownload, and make sure you use the original version (or fix the edit if you made one)

Shouldnt be any code to show previous song in the bottom bar ;-)
 
OK I literally just went through and deleted every video skin that I had sent it all to the trash then deleted the trash restarted my computer and now everything is working perfect thank you 🙏🏾
 
OK so I shut virtual DJ down went and took a shower all that good stuff fire virtual DJ back up and this is what it looks like



The crazy part is I have absolutely nothing loaded on the decks so why is it reverting back to showing track names when I don’t even have tracks loaded?
 
Have a look through settings.xml for that track info....

Questions: Where did it come from (skin)? How did it get into the space for different variables?
 
Download the skin from Extensions, and use that...
 
how do you change the block on the top right to an image?
