Yes, NVidia Geforce experience was failing to update my drivers... I have manually downloaded the latest drivers and everything started working on my 1080 Alienware... I've even let VDJ update to 6826 and that version also works with GPU math engine.
Not sure if I'm imagining it but STEMS separation seems much faster.
Thanks for all the help getting this working, I will check my attic machine later and see what's going on there.
