I changed vdj from a very old version to 8.5. My setup was(is) two hercules consoles + one korg nanopad that I use to compensate for lack of features on consoles.
I can't seem to figure out how to map for example "play" on active deck, nor select deck.
On my old setup, I mapped button "x" to play; cue_stop, and the deck that was active (highlighted by color) would do so. Now whatever function I map to it, it's does only to deck A.
Select deck, again, it was kinda simple, now I cant figure out select deck A,B,C,D.

Perhaps you assigned the controller to a deck instead of automatic?
Look in mapper section and deck drop down
