How do I display video only to my screen while the decks are shown in the laptop. I've connected both via a hdmi cable

Right click the video window and select the output.

You can also drag the video display over to 2nd monitor, and maximize there.
Make sure the 2nd monitor is set to extended monitor in the Windows/Mac settings to be able to use as output for the video
