How do you export a playlist as a .M3U or .XML?

If you dont mean just copy a m3u file, but rather export the music as well?
Simply right-click the playlist, and choose "Export to..." .
And VirtualDJ will make copy of the playlist with the content (music) on that location (for example usb stick)

But since you mention XML perhaps you just want to use the tracklist externally?
If so, open the playlists you want to export.
Then at the small dot at far left browser toolbar, choose "Export Browser View".
You can choose between CVS and HTML format (CVS can be imported into spreadsheets etc)
