Tema: Can I push/shove the beat grid during playback?

Hi,

I have two tracks, each with a different base drum. The first track's base drum is more pushy while the other one's is rather laggy.

Playing them together doesn't sound well, thus, I'm looking for an option to shove/shift the first track's beat grid a little bit during playback, so the track is going to be played back with a little delay (perhaps in increments of an 1/128th beat).

Is this possible with Virtual DJ?

Can adjust the beat grid while it plays
adjust_cbg +1% (and -1% for other direction)

But not sure that's what you want. Just pushing pitch bend +/- on controller/skin will move the song (not the grid) and perhaps its more what you need. Can also map pitch_bend....If I understood you correctly, you want to push the song a little in a direction (aka pitch bend)

I use something like this for fine cbg adjusting

repeat 25ms & adjust_cbg -0.01

honestly there's an unsolvable problem with cbg & syncopation, some tracks are early, some are late, tracks could go either way.
syncing tracks with missmatching syncopation is easiest by using your ears and simple nudging, but throw a sync'd sample into the mix then a cbg nudge might be the fix.

Similar also happens with very 4/4 music [like psy trance], 2 perfectly gridded tracks, in the mix, might have phase cancellation on the snare, the fix is trust your ears and nudge a tiny amount.

its what pitch bend is for (or "ride the pitch" as djs say, nudge the jog, work the track)
Many ways to Rome, but would rather use pitch bend (very common thing to use), alter any gridding
