Noticed recently even though I have autoSearchDB set to no videos I edit on my desktop are appearing in VirtualDJ database.
When I manually add to database I select my D: video drive and the desktop is on C: so no explanation for this happening

autoSearchDb only prevents files from showing up automatically in searches, it does not prevent files from being added to the database.

That's not what the description says .... and it's only started happening recently.
I also haven't been browsing those folders from within VDJ either.

"to the search database"
So you are saying this files do come up in search? Or where else do you see them in the database?

Apologies, I've just figured it out.
To edit the files and upscale them I have been using the "file operations, copy to" to place them on the desktop, and that must be when VDJ creates the duplicate DB entry.

Ah indeed, copy copies the database entry as well
