Tema: Echo effect and volume fader
Hi,

Pioneer DDJ-SR2 and echo effect. I have seen with some other decks and software that when the echo effect is activated and the volume fader slammed down to 0, the effect continues as a way to transition into other songs. However, with virtual DJ when the effect is active and volume fader slammed down to 0, the volume cuts out. Is there a way to have the effect continue few a seconds when the volume fader is slammed down to 0?

Yes, if VDJ is handling the mixing there is (if the audio config is set to use external mixer, then this physical mixer will of course turn down everything- nothing VDJ can do about that)
Anyway, it's called post-fader fx so try looking up fx-processing in the VDJ settings

As an alternative there is also a special echo effect that you can arm and then use, that does exactly what you describe. More info here;

Finally you can also use the echo sound color fx to do something similar to what you want - so there are really a lot of options :)

For post-fader Effects, you need to set fxProcessing setting to Post-fader

Best not to slam faders either, as you'll probably end up breaking something.

Changing the fx processing option to post fader has worked a treat. Last question, what settings should are recommended for the echo effect in terms of beat, frequency etc...
