Hello, excuse my ignorance but for the life of me I can't get the low cut echo to work on the controller. It keeps saying filter HP. How do I change it if possible please.

You can change the mapping to whatever fx you want
I guess the reason it's not low cut echo by default, is because lowcut is a setting on the regular echo in VDJ
So if you want both "types" (settings) of Echo, then you should probably extend the mapping to change the settings on the echo fx
